After a successful implementation of 2 trial flights on 24th and 31st Jan 2010, UPS followed its original plan to open up its new Intra-Asia hub at Shenzhen Bao¡¯an Airport on 8th Feb 2010 and launched its inaugural freighter service from SZX to SIN on 9th Feb 2010. In the first stage, UPS was planning to fly to Cologne (CGN), Tokyo (NRT), Osaka (KIX), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Singapore (SIN), Incheon (ICN) and Clark (CRK). With the business development, UPS expected to operate more than 70 flights weekly at Shenzhen Bao¡¯an International Airport.
After a delighted co-operation between UPS and International Cargo Centre Shenzhen - ICCS on the 2 test flights, ICCS will co-operate with the U.S giant ¨C UPS again to provide one-stop ground handling operations to UPS all freighter services in terms of General Cargo at Shenzhen Bao¡¯an International Airport, including shipment acceptance, physical warehouse cargo handling operations and documentation services. ICCS is pleased to announce that UPS is become its 18th airline customers and believe that the co-operation between UPS and ICCS will drive up the Shenzhen air freight market and a further development on Southeast Asia, Middle East and European market.
